About us
Why I began this
I was in the eighth grade doing a project for school when we came to the topic of foster care. I was intrigued, and through lots of research, realized I wanted to make an impact. Children in Foster Care face more difficulty when it comes to school work, due to disruptive learning, unstable living conditions, lack of progression in support systems, misunderstanding from teachers, limited access to educational resources, etc. All of this leads to lower graduation rates contrasted to their peers. This causes a domino effect, later affecting them to less opportunities as they continue to grow. I thought, If I have the resources available to help, then why shouldn’t I? I believe we can make a change in small steps, starting with education.
